INCOME OVERVIEW
In its 2016 annual plan, War Child set a total income target of €29.9 million. Actual income in 2016 was €28.7 million. This is a slight increase in comparison with the total income of the previous year of €28.4 million.
EXPENDITURE
Total expenditure in 2016 was deliberately higher than total income, which resulted in a deficit of €1.0 million for the year.

To meet our ambitions it is crucial that War Child remains focused on the successful implementation of our 2020 Strategy.
FUTURE INVESTMENTS
War Child’s current country presence is in line with its strategic ambitions. Most countries benefit from large grants in order to sustain continued operations; however, some countries have seen their grants come to an end in 2016.
FINANCIAL OUTLOOK 2017
War Child’s ambition is to achieve financial growth of €6M in 2017, from estimated total income of €29M in 2016 to more than €35M in 2017.
